Center for Pain Recovery was founded in 1996 by anesthesiologist Mark Barhorst, M.D..
Growth for Better Pain Management
Since its beginning, Center for Pain Recovery has deliberately grown to become a multi-disciplinary team delivering non-invasive or minimally-invasive pain management for patients with acute and chronic pain.
2002: An intensive and successful multi-disciplinary chronic pain program was added.
2003: Center for Pain Recovery moved to a 12,000 square foot facility on Cypresswood at Hwy 249 in Northwest Houston.
The Cypresswood location
utilizes a warm water pool to accommodate patients needing aquatic
therapy as part of their
complete physical therapy
program to begin their recovery toward improved functional capacity
and lifestyle restoration.
2005: Opened a second location in Sugar Land, Texas providing another comfortable setting for physician visits, procedures, and various physical and behavioral therapies.
